Thought for Today (14\5\07).
(From my personal Journal today): Fear and Anxiety are only helpful when you are Under Attack! When Mankind was primitive, feeling Fear was essential in order to survive physical assaults by predators and enemies. In modern times, however, worrying and panicking both tend to be dysfunctional, and damage your health! I Need to keep cool, calm and rational. Alert, sharp, even wary, yes, but not fretting, agitated etc.
Much the same may be said about Anger! Indeed Fear and Anger appear to be two sides of the same coin. And of course they are both closely related to Stress! (Good Stuff for my Public Journal this). These emotions need to be avoided most of the time! Especially as Anger has been found to be addictive too! And like all addictions, Anger, along with Hatred, is ultimately self-destructive! (So We All need to keep those "Negative" emotions in check. Let's have more Love, Fun, Happiness and Laughter). Amen.
